Bio
ANNA MORRIS is an award-winning playwright, director, comedian, actor and writer, with unilateral deafness.
For the stage, she's written and performed five one-woman character comedies which have had sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, UK tours and runs at venues such as The Soho Theatre, Underbelly Southbank, Latitude Festival, The Stand, Adelaide Fringe, Perth Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
In 2024 Anna performed and wrote SON OF A BITCH, a darkly comic monologue which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe (Summerhall), sold out and won a Scotsman Fringe First Award for outstanding writing. The play transferred to Southwark Playhouse and will tour the UK in 2027. A Spanish version is currently playing in Mexico, and a Portuguese show is in production. The play is published by Methuen (Bloomsbury).

Deafness & accessibility
Anna has unilateral deafness and is an advocate for inclusivity for d/Deaf audiences.
Right now
Anna is currently the Director and Dramaturg of the critically acclaimed play SLAY at the Edinburgh Fringe. She is currently developing the TV version of Son of a Bitch with American TV company Big Beach (Little Miss Sunshine, Vida, The Farewell, A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood).
